When ordering structural steel, remember to always confirm your standard steel beam dimensions before the steel beams are delivered to your door. This is because what they call the beam, does not relate to its exact sizing. For example, a 360 UB 44 weighs 44.7kg, is 352mm high and 171mm wide. Such a small difference is enough to bring a grown man to tears when he gets them on site and tries to install it! So, it’s important to confirm the actual size, prior to building the final resting place for your beams.
