Point Cloud Scanning

This helps us scan project sites and build detailed and highly accurate ‘as built’ models of any areas that we are going to be working in.

Once we have a scanned model, our designers and detailers use it to get dimensions of areas we will be installing steel into, and identify any potential issues ahead of time.

The benefits of point cloud scanning for our clients include:

  • Easier participation of all parties in discussion about the project

  • Faster on-site measurement (up to ten times faster than manual measurement)

  • More accurate measurement of the job site, to +/- 1mm

  • Reduced site visits

  • Easy identification of potential issues

  • Reduced need of rework due to frames not fitting

  • Time and cost savings

Concrete Scanning

Our Hilti PS 300 concrete scanner lets us know exactly where the reinforcing steel is in any concrete that we need to fix before we even pick up a drill.

Having the scanner onsite while we are installing steelwork means that every hole we drill and fixing plates work smoothly. This all adds up to the installation phases of projects taking less time, and running a lot more efficiently.
