Position Title: QS/Estimator
Reports to: Senior QS
Location: Seaview, Lower Hutt

Role Purpose

You will be responsible for the tendering and profitable completion of our projects. You will work collaboratively with our Senior QS, Head of Operations and Programming, Company Director and Project Managers to achieve this.

Key Accountabilities

• Prepare the pricing portion of our tenders, and identify the risks and opportunities associated with the tender.

• Prepare monthly subcontractor payment claims and provide up to date forecasting of final accounts.

• Collate documentation and submit variation claims to the main contractor.

• Budget tracking and financial forecasting on your assigned project.

Key Position Criteria

Technical Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

• 3 to 5+ years’ Quantity Surveying and/or Estimating experience in New Zealand.

• An ability to build and maintain good working relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues.

• Excellent attention to detail, time management and negotiation skills.

• A good understanding of financial reporting

• Contract / subcontract interpretation and management skills ad experience.
