  • Petone Engineering were engaged to carry out seismic strengthening of the Wastewater Treatment plant in Seaview.

  • Seismic upgrades vary in difficulty, but the requirement for the Wastewater Treatment Plant to stay operational throughout this entire project added significantly to the complexity of the installation. As a result, the methodology of installing the structural steel had to be carefully thought out and carefully managed.

    The first stage of the project saw steelwork being installed in the ceiling of the pump room of the plant.
