Role Purpose

Provide our clients and their team with a professional detailing service. Generate accurate drawing packages and ensure the design gives PEL the best chance of a successful completion. Work with the QS team to help provide accurate quantities for estimates and estimate to construction reviews.

Key Accountabilities

  • Detailing of Structural Steel Fabrications from engineering and architectural drawings

  • Liaising with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, and Main Contractors to ensure accurate drawings are produced

  • Supply drawings and information in the time frame required by the job program and deadlines.

  • Supporting the design and improvement of detailing processes, procedures, and systems

  • Attaining the standards of accuracy and compliance required for detailing Structural Steel to a wide variety of commercial, civil, and residential projects.

  • Maintain and manage relationships with Customers and Clients, proactively managing problems as they arise

  • Work closely with the Petone Engineering Production team and QS to ensure project timeframes and budgets are being met

Key Position Criteria

Technical Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Must have 3 plus years of previous experience in 3D detailing structural steel projects, preferably using Tekla

  • Ability and experience in accurately reviewing and interpreting structural drawings and design specifications

  • Excellent computer literacy and IT Skills

  • Good standard of written and spoken English

  • Good Planning, scheduling, and time management skills
